We use ASC for our push messages. Although the delivery on Android devices work good most of the time, we also encountered a lot of push messages which are delayed (where the delay can go up to a couple of hours).
The delay is totally random. When we send a push message device A can get it immediately and device B can get it delayed. If we would test it tomorrow it can be that device A receives it immediately and device B is delayed.
Bases on our experiences we can conclude the message is indeed send out, but there is a problem at the receiving end.
Another point worth mentioning is that if a push message does not arrive on an Android device and we send another 2-3 more those will not arrive as well on that device, it looks like the device or app is not ready for push messages from our app at that time. When it eventually arrives all push messages of the last period arrive at the same time.
We have set CloudPush.showTrayNotificationsWhenFocused to true, so that can't be the problem too.
We send out the messages through channels.
According to our experiences over the last months, there is no delay in delivery to iOS devices.
Anyone any ideas where to look for the problem? Or did anyone else encounter the same problems and found a solution?
