No OTG in my android phone. can i run/debug using usb cable?

i'm new at app dev, i have android phone but no OTG support. i have set up appcelerator sdk 3.5.1 and android SDK with it, but emulator takes a lot of time. i know i can use genymotion but i want to run/debug with my phone but doesn't seem to connect and showup in titanium studio.

i'm connecting laptop with usb cable but phone not showing up in android list in titanium studio. Is it because there is No OTG support in my android phone. can i run/debug using usb cable if no OTG present?
