What encoding should I be using?
My php files are in UNIX, Titanium seems to prefer UTF-8 and my MySQL is collated in latin_swedish_1
Having spent a week on my json feed issue (see my other posts), I started messing with character encodings last night, saving out my scripts to various sets.
Any php file I adjusted to a new format wouldn't talk to my app afterward. Setting my php files to UTF-8 with or without BOM, Unicode outright, or even ANSI, would result in errors as special characters popped up in the feed.
I attempted to remove the marks with PHP, but I couldn't, whether I tried hex or escape sequences.
One of my scripts returns 0 to confirm completion, and even that couldn't be read properly; and it's just a number.
What gives?
