ListView: How to focus TextFields manually?

Hey there,

i've been struggling around with this thing for over a year now: When having a TextField inside a custom ItemTemplate, the TextField is not able to receive methods like field.focus(). Is there a workaround to do this or the possibility to add as a feature request for future versions of the ListView-specification?
