Hi, I'm currently beginning a small chat application using Appcelerator and I'm interested in a presence mechanism. I'm wondering the best solution to be accurate I know it's an hard issue but what can be the best solution ?
I thought of using a P2P connection but then I realized that the connection will not be possible through firewalls and cellular network. What about push notifications ? Is it a special API from Appcelerator ?
Does someone created an online presence which can inspire me ?
