I'd like to use the video player to stream an AAC encoded audio stream rather than hack the AudioStreamer class to 'see' an AAC stream. It's been pointed out that the video player is just fine with audio, and that does seem to be the case. However, having the network indicator in the status bar continually spin while streaming is perhaps a little off-putting for a user. It doesn't spin for the audio player so I wonder why it does during video streaming?
I've tried the obvious fix, by setting Titanium.App.disableNetworkActivityIndicator = true; but no luck, the indicator stubbornly continues to spin.
Does anybody know an Objective-C hack to disable the activity indicator it for the video player?
