ListView Searchbar Performance

Hi,

I'm creating a ListView with about 1,000 rows. I have also created a SearchBar and associated it to the ListView. The performance on an iOS iPhone 3GS is really slow when clicking inside the Search Bar and when entering letters into the Search Bar.

Are there any tricks to speed up the search performance?
