Broken tableview layout in IOS 7

I have a tableview with filter and search bar. It was working with iOS6 and for iOS7, the search bar is chopped off by the vertical filter bar (with all the characters). An example would be in the kitchensink Base UI-> Views -> Table Views -> Headers with Filters. You see the search bar is chopped off by the filter bar.
