Universal app and iPad specific images

Hi

I am using SDK 3.1.1 and working on a universal app using alloy, and I could do understanding the best way to handle device specific images. RIght now I am just targeting iPhone and iPad so need to target:

  • iPhone non-retina
  • iPhone retina
  • iPhone retina tall
  • iPad non-retina
  • iPad retina

I have got background images swapping based on platform and form factor in my .tss which is all good:)

However, as an example I have in one alloy view I have a scrollable view that houses numerous image views all images currently specified in the markup. Really I need to use a different set of images for the iPad version vs iPhone.

So in regards to serving different images what would be best practice here? I.e to add platform specific image views into ONE alloy view somehow? And then have iPad and iPhone specific image directories? I just want to make sure I am on the right track to make the structure as clean and maintainable as possible

*as a note the retina iphone versions "may" work for non retina ipad but would prefer to see how can use separate images...as I would also need double again for iPad retina

thanks very much in advance

ade
